It’s Governor’s Ball! We were asked by Robert Bose, Balloon Chain artist, if we wanted to work the chain again (like Coachella, see Days 50-52). Hells yeah. Jack White is headlining. One of my very favorite artists in the world. So we had two shifts and lots of time in between to play. Plus Robert Bose is a hoot. The best. We arrived early and with our artist pass wristbands we sussed out the art, the VIP areas and free bars, of course! Dialed.
Time to work our shift.
You meet lots of people. Which is fun, to meet diverse kids from all over. This one gal had realistic cats tattooed all over her arms. One was black with yellow green eyes. What’s this one’s name, I ask. Houdili. WHAT? My black cat’s name is Houdini. She wanted a boy black cat to name Houdini but only found a female with the name “Lee” so made it Houdili. Serendipity.
It was HUMID. And we saw a fantastic band I never heard of called Flight Facilities. And danced really hard on the side stage. Lucky to have bottomless Rose with ice and all that room to move!
Sweaty!
Flight Facilities below. I would love to see them again.
Time to report to shift two!
And then we were off for Jack White. The best. He does not disappoint ever. Changing guitars midway through songs, singing with full passion, I love whatever he touches. What a true rockstar. Another great adventure with my beloved husband. It’s endless!
