Day Two of the grand Dutch tour!!! Henk, Kelli and I are off to the Keukenhof today. It’s an ambling treasure grove of daffodils, hyacinths, orchids and tulips. 7 million bulbs springing to life! Ever since we bought the lake house last year, I have been completely immersed in learning everything about plants and growing them. So I am elated to finally make it to this garden!
When I saw that blanket of color I couldn’t help but squeal.
Greeted by these classic beauties upon entry.
They had different gardens with complimentary varieties all thrown together in ways I never imagined.
Beehives!
Snakeskin.
Like an illustration!
I think I bought some of these daffodils for my own garden. They look like paper! Excited to see if they have popped up!
That is as Holland as it gets.
Cuties.
Lovely details.
Hee hee!
They oozed of sweetness.
Perfection. I could stare at any of these for awhile. Have a bit of Thoreau in me these days.
Had a Wizard of Oz feel.
I love the wisdom in this!!!
Hee hee! Always make time for silliness and participation!
These old organs are a sight! Second one I have seen in Holland.
Mesmerizing! Ok, enough flower photos! And to think I edited this down tremendously!
One more! What a glorious day. So pleased I finally got to see this after coming to Holland for so many years.
Then home for dinner with Kobus, the neighbor’s dog who we borrow. He is such a cutie. Love Kobi!
Sista makes vegan spinach pies, Greek style. YUM.
Doing her magic.
And fabulous simple potato salad.
Get me in there! So professional!
My last night! Snuggles with Kobus.
